Twenty-Five years ago, married couple Jim Simpson and Laurie DiChiara began collecting animation and entertainment memorabilia.  Their love of the entertainment industry and the creative arts became an obsession which led them to develop a HUGE collection of historic artifacts from the Animation and Entertainment industry.

In 2025, Jim and Laurie decided its was time to share this amazing collection with the public to help spark creativity and innovation in young people who were searching for an artistic outlet.  Walts Secret Closet Inc. was born from that vision.

As a proud 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to preserving animation and entertainment history by sharing the magic of those industries with our community.  Our mission is to inspire creativity and innovation through the exposure and education of young (and young at heart) people to the icons who created the animation and entertainment industry.​  Our extensive collection features Rare Artifacts, Iconic Costumes, and "Never-before Seen" creations that celebrate the art of animation, film, music and entertainment.
